Join TakeAction Minnesota for the 2012 launch of issue work, political campaigns and progressive base-building. Larry Cohen, President of the Communications Workers of America, will be serving as keynote. For more information on Mr. Cohen and CWA, please visit www.cwa-union.org.
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m., the meeting will run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Interested in joining our Organizing a New Economy Program for a training on Talking with Elected Officials about Revenue? Be prepared to stay late -- the training will run until 1pm. Lunch will be served.
Attendees will:
- Network with progressives from around the state as we gear up for serious work in 2012
- Be briefed on the electoral and issue campaigns TakeAction Minnesota will be working on
- Learn effective ways to communicate, putting your values above the noise of consumerism and conservatism
- Elect new representatives (individual and organizational) to our Board of Directors
