TakeAction Minnesota works to make change that matters to Minnesotans. We do this by organizing individuals to lead in their local communities, building dynamic coalitions that criss-cross the state, training and educating people to engage in public action.
We are composed of 26 organizational members, which include the largest grassroots organizations in the state, as well as 11,000 individual members.
At our core, we are community organizers. This means investing in people as leaders -- leaders who take bold risks to stand up for the kind of state and country we believe in and who mobilize others around these beliefs.
The organizing we do seeks to break down barriers, build the power of local communities, and create new opportunities for individual leadership. We are active, and intentional, in building relationships of trust with individuals and organizations of color -- to increase access to health care, make our economy move everyone forward, and reform the criminal justice system.
TakeAction Minnesota moves Minnesotans to active grassroots democracy that builds social, racial and economic justice. We do this by:
Acting together, through the united power of diverse organizations and individuals, TakeAction Minnesota achieves significant change. Change that moves us from the world we know today, closer to the more fair and just world we hope to live in tomorrow.
